Danish officials are expected to name the winners of a 350MW offshore wind tender in coastal waters on Monday.
The country’s wind energy association said the outcome on 12 September follows bids submitted on 1 September by WPD/Hofor, European Energy and Vattenfall.
The process is being conducted against a background of uncertainty with the Danish government proposing to abandon the long-planned nearshore round.
DWIA chief Jan Hylleberg praised the quick turnaround but pointed out there is no guarantee the winning project will be supported.
“I hope that the expected low bid will get the politicians, and especially the government, to provide urgently the necessary funding so that projects can be built.”
Projects of up to 200MW have been put forward across five designated areas.
