Vattenfall is seeking to fill 130 new positions in its wind energy business over the next 12 months, as the Swedish power company invests another €5bn in European renewable energy projects.
Vattenfall, which has around 28,000 employees worldwide, said it is predominately looking for specialists in areas such as commercial, engineering, project management and site operations.
The new staff would help the company reach its goal of expanding wind capacity by 400MW-to-600MW each year.
“The energy transition is already well under way and we need to build up new competencies and recruit new talent to help us achieve our ambitious goals,” Vattenfall human resources representative Lamin Faye said.
Projects currently on the drawing board include offshore wind farms in Germany, Scotland and Denmark.
