Gamesa has won a deal to cover maintenance at the 69MW Ramacca wind farm on the Italian island of Sicily.
The 46-turbine project is operated by energy company Alpiq and features ECO 080 turbines.
Gamesa will tackle maintenance at the 2008-commisioned site for the next three years, the Spanish company said.
It brings the turbine manufacturer’s total servicing capacity to over 22GW in some 40 countries, including some 1.1GW in Italy.
“This contract evidences the reach of the company’s services portfolio, which, underpinned by its 22-year track record, encompasses premium technological solutions for wind turbines made by other OEMs as well as its own,” said Gamesa.
