US developer Lincoln Clean Energy proposes to install GE turbines at a pair of wind farms in northwest Texas.
The 253MW Dermott project features up to 110 2.3MW turbines while the 242.5MW Coyote scheme will use 97 2.5MW machines, according to regulatory filings.
Transmission service provider Oncor Electric Delivery Company has filed generation interconnection agreements for the duo with the Texas Public Utilities Commission.
The point of interconnection for both wind farms is at Oncor’s Dermott switching station in Scurry County.
Lincoln started road construction at the Dermott site in late 2015 to assist with federal production tax credit qualification.
The project also received tax abatement agreements with local entities.
Dermott is slated to start commercial operation in August 2017 and Coyote is on the books for an August 2018 start date.
