Nordex has confirmed a deal to supply turbines to Brookfield’s 27.5MW Slievecallan East wind farm in the west of Ireland.
The 11-turbine project will feature N90/2500 hardware and is part of a full 29-turbine, 72.5MW Slievecallan wind farm in Clare, the remainder of which is being developed by Invis Energy.
All turbines will be supplied by Nordex in a deal first reported by subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS last year.
Nordex said the Slievecallan East phase also includes a 15-year premium full-service contract. Brookfield acquired the project earlier this year in a deal that was also first revealed by reNEWS.
The developer’s Ireland manager George Martin said: “Brookfield is delighted to team with Nordex on Slievecallan. This is an important project for Brookfield and sees a continuation of the company’s investment in Ireland.”
