Nordex has confirmed that it is talks with Acciona Energia over the supply of turbines for the Spanish company´s 183MW San Gabriel wind farm in Chile.
The German company is holding negotiations as preferred turbine manufacturer for the project, it said.
Acciona Energia won a 20-year contract for the wind farm last week through Chile´s latest energy auction.
The project, located near the town of Renaico in the La Araucania region, needs to start feeding electricity to the grid by early 2022.
Nordex said it will publish detailed information on the future order receipt once the supply contracts still pending have been signed and project finance has been secured.
