Futuren has signed a deal with Siemens to deploy the German manufacturer’s 3MW turbines at its 21MW Courant-Nachamps wind farm in western France.
The project in the Charente-Maritime department will feature 7 machines. The contract also includes the associated maintenance services over 15 years.
Futuren aims to start building the wind farm next year and to commission the facility in early 2018.
The company, which operates 714MW of wind capacity, is currently building two wind farms in France totaling 31MW.
