Belltown Power has acquired Awel Newydd Cyf, the developer of the 24.6MW Tirgwynt wind farm in mid-Wales, from RDC Partners.
The deal was first reported in subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS in June.
Construction of the 12-turbine wind farm is underway and it is due to be fully commissioned by the end of 2016.
The project will also provide a community benefit fund of £49,000 a year, Belltown said.
The wind farm has been jointly funded by Tirgwynt farmers together with Awel Newydd Cyf.
Belltown Power chief executive Mike Kaplan said: “We are continuing to grow our renewable energy portfolio across three diverse technologies – wind, solar and hydro – and this latest acquisition brings the total number of Belltown sites to 20; with over 140MW.”
