Revenues at Senvion increased by 7% in the second quarter of the year to €505m, up from €471m recorded in the same period in 2015.
The German turbine manufacturer said today that it is on track to meets its annual guidance of between €2.25 billion and €2.3 billion in revenue for the full year.
According to its half-year results, revenue at the company was down to €870m for the six months, from €927m in the first half of last year.
However, gross profit for the first six months stood at €268m, up from €252m a year earlier. The company’s gross margin also improved by 3.3% to 29% with a stable order book of €5.6 billion.
Chief executive Jürgen Geissinger said: “The growth we achieved in the second quarter underlines that we are on the right strategic path. Our potential to tap into new markets exemplifies the next level of growth we aim for as an independent company.”
He added: “We look forward to tapping into further opportunities in the second half of the year and are confident to reach our guidance for the full year.”
