Vestas has won an order from Eon to supply turbines for a 278MW wind farm in the US.
The manufacturer will supply and install 139 V110-2MW machines for an unnamed project, it said.
The order also includes a multi-year service agreement for the turbines
Nacelles, blades and towers will be produced at Vestas’ Colorado factories, it said.
They will start being delivered in the second quarter of 2017 and start operating in the fourth quarter of 2017.
“We are excited to be working with Vestas on this turbine purchase as Eon expands its US portfolio,” Eon North America chairman Patrick Woodson said.
