Law firm Bird & Bird’s German team has advised the Czech company Falkon Capital and its subsidiary Alten on the development of the 51MW Priyutnenskaya VES wind farm in Kalmykia in Russia.
The project will consist of 20 2.5MW turbines supplied by German manufacturer FWT Production.
Turbine delivery is planned for the end of 2016 and the wind farm should start operating in the first half of 2017.
The project is the first phase of a 300MW development.
The Bird & Bird team was led by Frankfurt-based partner Christian Kessel and Hamburg-based counsel Lars Kyrberg.
Other team members included partner Ulrich Goebel and counsel Stephan Kübler from the Munich office, as well as partner Matthias Winter and associate Stanislav Schmidt from the Frankfurt office.
