Community Windpower has installed the first rotor at its 60.8MW Aikengall II wind farm in East Lothian.
The project consists of 19 Siemens 3.2MW turbines and will sell electricity to GDF Suez Energy UK when it becomes operational.
GDF will also buy all the renewable obligation certificates associated with the power generated by the project.
Aikengall II is projected to produce 231,402MWh of electricity a year, said Community Windpower.
