Ofgem expects to start in October the next tender round to sell transmission assets from UK offshore wind farms.
The UK energy regulator said the fifth Offshore Transmission Owner or OFTO tender round will enable bidders to compete for grid assets from five projects totalling more than 2.3GW.
The assets to be included in the tender are at the 402MW Dudgeon, 336MW Galloper, 573MW Race Bank, 400MW Rampion and the 660MW Walney extension projects.
Ofgem said the assets include offshore substations, offshore and onshore AC export cables and onshore substations.
It also plans to hold an information event relating to the tender, with the date yet to be decided.
