Nordex is to supply and install 22 AW125/3000 turbines for EDF Energies Nouvelles’ 66MW Ventos da Bahia I wind farm in Brazil.
The German company said it will deliver 10 AW125/3000s with 120-metre concrete towers and 12 more with 100-metre concrete towers.
Production of the towers and delivery of the turbines will start in late summer.
Nordex said that Acciona Windpower signed the contract for the project, which is located in the state of Bahia in eastern Brazil, in the winter of 2015 before the two companies merged.
The wind farm was developed by Sowitec, Nordex said.
It added that since the merger with Acciona, the company has been operating three production facilities in Brazil: two concrete tower factories and one nacelle production plant.
