Gamesa has bagged an order to supply 27.3MW to the Vila Acre wind farm in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte.
The Spanish company said it was its maiden deal with the Paris-listed developer Voltalia.
The project in the north east of the country will feature 13 G114-2.1MW turbines. Gamesa said the model has already topped the 1GW mark in the country.
“This new order, the first awarded by Voltalia, a French renewable electricity producer established in Brazil for a decade, evidences the company’s solid positioning in Brazil, an important market in which the company has entrenched itself as the number-two OEM,” said Gamesa
