The final 10 transition pieces have arrived at the Port of Ostende for Nobelwind’s 165MW Belwind 2 offshore wind farm off the Belgium coast.
The port said its Rebo terminal is in full operation preparing the monopile foundations and TPs for the project’s wind turbines.
Jan de Nul is the engineering, procurement, construction and installation contractor for Belwind 2.
The company’s installation vessel Vole au Vent loaded out the first monopiles and TPs for the wind farm in May.
EEW built the 51 monopiles, while CS Wind fabricated the transition pieces.
Jan De Nul will work on the project into next year.
