Inox Wind has won an order to supply turbines for a 50MW wind farm in western India.
The company will supply and install 25 turbines at an unnamed project in Gujarat state for local developer Atria Group, the manufacturer said.
The machines are scheduled to start operating by next March.
“We are pleased to further build on the success of Inox’s 2MW platform in India and expand our portfolio of projects in the state of Gujarat,” Inox Wind chief executive Kailash Tarachandani said.
“The 113-metre rotor diameter turbine together with the 120-metre hub height tower minimizes the cost of energy and further strengthens the company’s competitive position as the fastest growing wind energy solutions provider in the country.”
