HvS Dredging support vessel Zwerver 2 has installed 100 mattresses on the export cable route for Dong Energy’s 258MW Burbo Bank 2 wind farm off the UK coast.
Under charter to Jan de Nul, the vessel has also assisted during the beach pull-up of the export cable in Liverpool Bay, the company said.
Jan de Nul’s 115 metre cable lay vessel Willem De Vlamingh is tackling installation of ABB-made export wires from Ffrith Beach in Wales.
Around half of the project’s monopile foundations have been installed by Van Oord’s Svanen crane vessel.
The wind farm will feature 32 MHI Vestas V164 turbines configured to 8.06MW.
