Siemens has extended its service and maintenance contract by 15 years for the 350MW Clyde wind farm in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
The wind farm, which is owned by SSE, Greencoat UK Wind and GLIL, consists of 152 Siemens SWT-2.3-93 turbines.
Siemens has serviced and maintained the project since commercial operations started in 2011.
The SWPS-300W maintenance agreement includes a guarantee of availability and extended warranty on major components over the entire term of the contract.
Siemens said it will use its remote diagnostics services to provide predictive maintenance planning by “identifying potential issues before they impact operations”.
