Dutch company C-bed is set to deploy its floating hotel Wind Ambition at Iberdrola’s 350MW Wikinger offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Wind Ambition (pictured) will assist during installation and commissioning of 70 Adwen AD5-135 offshore wind turbines.
The deployment will start in January and is scheduled to last for several months.
The vessel provides accommodation for 137 persons in single cabins, as well as workshop, storage and office facilities.
Crew transfer vessels (CTV) will ship offshore technicians from Wind Ambition to their workplaces on a daily basis.
The floating hotel has a purpose built boat landing and an offshore CTV bunkering option, C-bed said.
The company will be using Sassnitz port on Rugen Island as its base port for crew change and loading of fresh supplies.
