German renewable energy company Chorus Clean Energy has acquired a 62.2MW wind farm portfolio in the Poitou-Charentes region in Western France from Volkswind.
The portfolio consists of four wind parks – two of which have been operational since July 2015 and two that are to be completed in August and September.
The operating projects consist of eight Vestas V90 turbines, while the wind farms under construction will be made up of a total of 14 Vestas V117 units.
Chorus said the total investment, including a debt component, is about €120m, the largest single investment in the history of the company.
It added that the deal is still subject to the customary “conditions precedent”.
Volkswind is a subsidiary of the Swiss energy group Axpo.
