GE Renewable Energy has signed a framework agreement with UKA Group to install up to 250MW of wind turbines at 12 sites in Germany.
The framework agreement consists of up to 73 turbines, which are likely to be GE 3.4 137 machines. The units will include software and analytics compatible with GE’s Digital Wind Farm system.
In addition, GE received a firm order for 30MW of new capacity at UKA’s Duben Sud wind farm in Brandenburg.
The Duben order consists of 11 GE 2.75-120 units and is the second phase of a 2015 installation of nine similar machines. It also includes a 15-year service agreement.
The project is expected to be operational later this year, while the 12 projects will start to be installed in 2018.
