Italian developer Falck Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement with Vattenfall for the supply of electricity from three UK wind farms totalling 105MW.
The projects are the 30MW West Browncastle in South Lanarkshire in Scotland, the 58.5MW Cefn Croes at Aberystwyth in Wales, and the 16.65MW Boyndie near Portsoy and Banff also in Scotland.
Falk chief executive officer Toni Volpe said: “These contracts call for a good mix of market energy price and incentive based revenues.
“They also include for the first time a floor pricing mechanism which will protect Falk Renewables in case of further reductions to the energy price in the UK energy price market.”
