Royal IHC has developed new designs for an inter-array cable-laying vessel and integrated jack-ups for the installation of offshore wind farms.
The vessel will allow for more efficient operations and will reduce the costs for inter-array cable-laying operations by 20 to 30%, the Dutch company said.
IHC said the ship design features two carousels below deck that can be loaded simultaneously, which saves time.
Cable storage below deck also leaves plenty of space for an inline quadrant with a 50-metre track, making operations in deeper water possible.
The vessel can hold 2500 tonnes of cable.
IHC said it also offers an integrated approach to the design and build of jacking systems and complete heavy-lift jack-up vessels.
This covers all areas, including structural design, hydraulics, marine operations and automation.
