EDP Renewables North America is to sell the electricity from its 98MW Quilt Block wind farm in southwestern Wisconsin to the Dairyland Power Cooperative.
Dairyland said the project is currently going through the MISO generation interconnect process, with construction expected to start in next year.
Commercial operation is planned for the end of 2017.
The Dairyland Power Cooperative was founded in 1941 and provides wholesale electricity requirements for 25 distribution cooperatives and 17 municipal utilities.
