The second part started in February when foundation installation was completed and will continue until August.
The installation of turbines is slated to start soon and to wrap up by February 2017 at the construction site some 90km west of the island of Sylt.
Sandbank will consist of 72 Siemens 4MW machines.
Deutsche Windtechnik Offshore und Consulting will act as client representative and quality inspector for wind turbine pre-assembly, installation and commissioning for the Sandbank project.
