Siemens is adding balance of plant and extending its maintenance services contract for the 152MW Keenan II wind farm in Oklahoma.
The contract, with CPV Keenan II Renewable Energy Company, is for another 15 years and is the first long-term balance of plant agreement for the company in the USA.
The wind farm consists of 66 SWT-2.3-101 turbines.
Under the terms of the deal, Siemens will either carry out service and maintenance itself or coordinate with subcontractors to perform the work.
The work will cover the collector system, substation, transformers, transmission lines, switchgear, equipment, fibre optic cables for the Scada system, communications, foundations, towers and access roads.
Siemens Digital Services will provide support services, including remote monitoring and diagnostics, using the Sinalytics platform.
Siemens Power Generation Services, Wind Power and Renewable business chief executive officer Mark Albenze said: “As the wind energy industry in the US continues to mature, more and more of our customers are looking to Siemens for a fully integrated lifecycle approach to support their long-term operational goals and help reduce costs.”
