Eneco UK and Co-operative Energy are partnering on Highlands & Mearns Wind, a new energy product offering communities near the Tullo & Twinshiels, Lochluichart and Moy wind farms in Scotland access to 100% renewable electricity.
The green energy tariff will be offered to local householders who sign up to Co-operative Energy on either a dual fuel or electricity only 12-month contract.
The companies plan energy roadshows in the coming weeks to showcase the new tariff.
Eneco UK managing director Zoisa Walton said: “Our work with the community over a number of years has given us the confidence to launch this exclusive product; residents have a vested interest in their local wind farms and will welcome the opportunity for locally generated energy to fuel their homes.”
