A French maritime advisory committee has given a favourable opinion on the proposed 496MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm, which is planned to be located off the north coast of Brittany.
The committee is part of the French national hydrographic service SHOM that consults sea users on major maritime projects.
Its May report also included recommendations for sea users.
The project, which will feature 62 Adwen 8MW turbines, is being developed by the Ailes Marines consortium made up of Iberdrola, RES and Caisse des Depots.
