RES Offshore has had its operations and maintenance contract extended by one year for the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult’s met mast located off the UK’s north-east coast at Blyth.
The company will therefore continue to deliver scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and 24/7 remote operations for the structures, equipment and instrumentation systems.
It will also carry out project management, data management and procurement of vessels and subcontractors for the met mast (pictured).
RES has provided O&M services for the last two years and was the owner’s engineer during mast construction.
RES Offshore chief operating officer Jim Sandon said: “We look forward to working with the ORE Catapult on this project again and to support them as they expand the opportunities for future R&D projects at the met mast location.”
