French developer Futuren has gained permission to build the six-turbine Faydunes wind farm in the south of the country.
The project near Saint-Affrique, in the Aveyron department, is expected to have 12MW in capacity and generate enough electricity for about 12,000 homes, it said.
Futuren now holds 99MW of fully-permitted wind projects in France, of which 31MW will be commissioned by the end of the year.
They comprise the 18MW Chemin Ferre wind farm, the 21MW Courant-Nachamps plant and the Les Monts facility, as well as Faydunes.
Futuren operates 714MW of wind power capacity in Germany, France, Morocco and Italy.
