Revenue from Senvion’s onshore wind business fell to €262m in the first quarter of this year, down from €369m in the same period in 2015.
The company said the “low revenue volume [was] due to a structurally weak Q1” in a statement this morning.
Elsewhere, Senvion’s offshore revenue was at €29m, up €1m from a year earlier, and revenue at its service business stood at €73, up from €56m in the same period in 2015.
The German turbine manufacturer also said its market share was up 2.6% in the quarter on the back of market entries in Chile and Japan.
The company’s order intake stood at €269m in the first quarter bringing its total order book to €5.6bn.
Chief executive Jürgen Geissinger said: “We had a successful start to the year and delivered on our international growth strategy. We will continue to capitalise on opportunities in target markets as well as foster innovations through R&D investments with the aim to continuously reduce the levelised cost of energy.”
