Renewables consultacy AWS Truepower has acquired the wind and solar forecasting assets of Meso.
The acquisition, which took place on 1 April, involved Meso’s 14 staff joining AWS Truepower as part of its grid solutions business. Meso president John Zack will lead the unit as vice president for grid solutions.
Zack said: “My former Meso colleagues bring a lot of skills and experience that I feel confident will help AWS Truepower grow and succeed, not just in forecasting, but in other areas.
“We are all looking forward to the new opportunities that will be facilitated by the integration of Meso and AWS Truepower capabilities.”
AWS said it had collaborated for a number of years with Meso to provide wind and solar forecasting to utility and renewable energy industries around the world.
