Tata Power Renewable Energy has commissioned the 44MW Lahori wind farm in Madhya Pradesh in India.
The project, located in the Shajapur district, brings Tata Power’s total installed capacity to more than 9.1GW.
The company said it has a further 500MW of wind capacity under development and construction in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
Tata Power managing director and chief executive officer Anil Sardana said: “The commissioning of 44MW wind farm project fortifies Tata Power’s vision of generating significant percentage of its total generation capacity from clean energy sources.
“This is our fourth wind asset and we are in constant look out for similar opportunities in respect of wind and solar plants.”
