Virginia developer Apex Clean Energy has acquired the rights to a potential 175MW wind farm in Illinois.
The company will take control of the Sugar Creek Wind One from American Wind Energy Management.
Details of the deal were not released.
“Sugar Creek is a high-quality project in an important market,” said Apex president Mark Goodwin. “We look forward to bringing the project to completion.”
AWEM said it would work “hand-in-hand with the Apex team through the final stages of development and into construction”.
