SolarWorld is supplying 72-cell solar panels totalling 17.5MW for a project the Valley Electric Association is developing in Pahrump, near the Nevada border with California.
The project will comprise 51,562 340-watt modules made in SolarWorld’s factory in Hillsboro in Oregon.
Bombard Renewable Energy is conducting engineering, procurement and construction for the project.
The solar farm is expected to be complete in the summer.
