Yingli Green Energy Europe has entered into an agreement with an unnamed European EPC partner to supply up to 200MW of solar panels for projects to be developed in the Dominican Republic.
The deal has an exclusivity period that runs until mid-2019, during which the commercial terms are also fixed by the agreement.
Yingli said 50MW of projects are at an advanced stage with anticipated construction during 2017.
The remaining 150MW are at the preliminary stages of development, it added.
Yingli Europe project manager Norman Luth said: “With the European market facing headwinds, we have continued to work alongside our long-term European partners to help support the export of European know-how and experience to emerging markets around the world.”
