Gamesa has won a contract double in China to deliver some 41 turbines to two different wind farms.
The Spanish turbine manufacturer said today that it is the preferred bidder on the 50MW Senjitu 2 project in the province of Hebei in south-east Peking.
Hebei Construction & Investment Group awarded Gamesa the contract for 14 G97-2.0MW and 11 G90-2.0MW turbines. Gamesa also suppliers the 150MW first phase of the project.
In the Yunnan province in southern China, Gamesa will deliver 16 G97-2.0 MW turbines to the Bainijing wind farm.
The Concord New Energy project will require specially-developed hardware to withstand on-site conditions at altitudes of up to 3200 metres, the turbine company said.
Both deliveries are expected to commence later this year with hopes high of commissioning the projects in late 2016 or early 2017.
