Government officials have published updated timelines for the delayed tender at the Borssele offshore wind zone in the Nertherlands.
Bidding for the the 350MW Borssele 1 and 350MW Borssele 2 is due to open on 10 April and close on 12 May with application forms to be made available here, according to an update from the country’s enterprise agency.
Bidding for 320MW and 350MW projects in the second half of the Borssele zone will kick off at a so-far unspecified date later this year ahead of a September deadline.
The overall zone totals 344 square kilometres and includes a fifth area set aside for 20MW of experimental wind.
TenneT will supply the grid connection out to and including an offshore substation. A total of 3.5GW of new offshore wind is due online in the Netherlands by 2023.
