Siemens has chartered DBB Jack-Up Services’ Wind Server vessel for three years to work on offshore wind farms across Northern Europe.
The charter deal, first reported in reNEWS, will be celebrated at a launch event at Siemens in Brande in Denmark on 12 April.
Wind Server, a purpose-built jack-up vessel for maintenance and service operations, was constructed at Nordic Yards in Germany.
Siemens Wind Power Service head of maritime & aviation solutions René Cornelis Wigmans said: “We are very pleased to add this highly innovative, purpose-built superior jack-up vessel to our service fleet.
“It will allow us to keep the vessel ready for fast mobilisation, reducing the required lead time for projects.”
