IKEA Ireland has revealed it made a €150,000 saving on the final purchase price of the 7.65MW Carrikeeny wind farm in Leitrim.
The Swedish flatpack giant acquired the 4-turbine project from Mainstream Renewable Power in 2014.
Newly filed accounts show it paid €3.23m for the project, down from an initial €3.38m.
“The cost of the investment decreased in the current year due to a purchase price adjustment subsequent to completion date,” IKEA’s accounts said.
The Leitrim wind farm features four Enercon E-82 turbines.
