Heerema has been confirmed as the substation platform fabrication contractor at the 336MW Galloper offshore wind farm off the Suffolk coast.
The Dutch outfit will manufacture the platform at its Hartlepool facility. The deal, awarded by Petrofac, was first revealed by subscriber-only reNEWS in November.
Galloper will feature 56 Siemens 6MW turbines. It is a joint equity partnership between RWE Innogy UK, UK Green Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services and Macquarie Capital.
The site is located within the outer Thames estuary, some 27km off the Suffolk coast with water depths of 27 to 39 metres.
Fabrication of the platform will be completed in early 2017.
