Dutch company Heerema has moved the topside for the offshore substation for the 336MW Galloper wind farm out of the fabrication hall at its Hartlepool yard.
Heerema said further work on the topside (pictured) will take place outside.
The fabricator loaded out the jacket foundation for the substation last month.
The Galloper wind farm is being developed off the Suffolk coast and is a joint equity partnership between Innogy UK, UK Green Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services, Macquarie Capital and Sumitomo Corp.
The project will consist of Siemens 6MW turbines and is expected to start operating in March 2018.
