Skytron Energy is to provide monitoring and supervision for 20MW of photovoltaic solar power plants in Japan.
The projects, which will all be connected to the grid by the end of March, include power plants developed by First Solar Japan, Sybac Solar, IBC Solar, YKD and Nippon Solar Services.
All the plants will be equipped with Scada software, PVGuard, which allows plant operators to have an overview of plant data in real time.
Skytron director of business development Lino Garcia said: “Japan is an important market for us and we are looking forward to continuing to support the country’s efforts to increase the amount of solar in its energy mix, while making it financially attractive.”
