Vattenfall has signed up Deutsche Offshore Consult to assist in the construction of the 288MW Sandbank offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
DOC will provide modelling to improve the predictability of the project for Vattenfall.
Three-dimensional models depict the port of Esbjerg, the construction site, and the installation vessel MPI Adventure, as well as the crane and components.
Last week, the final monopile was installed at the project 90km off the coast of Sylt island. 72 Siemens 4MW turbines will be installed, starting in summer 2016.
The Sandbank wind farm is scheduled to be connected to the grid in 2017.
