EDF Energy Renewables has applied to build a 12-turbine extension at its Fallago Rig wind farm in the Scottish Borders.
The company is seeking permission to boost total power at the operational project by 41.4MW, pushing overall capacity to 185.4MW.
EDF is planning to install 3.45MW hardware with tips of up to 126.5 metres and rotors of up to 92 metres.
The company is also seeking to extend the operational lifetime of the first phase to coincide with any fresh consent.
That would align the timelines for both projects to 25 years from commissioning of the second phase.
