TUV Nord has certified Suzlon Group’s S111 2.1MW wind turbine, following testing of the 50Hz and 60Hz variants by a third-party testing agency.
Suzlon said the certification means the units conform with standards and regulations for the design, testing and manufacturing of the S111.
It also means that the turbines meet Indian grid regulations.
Suzlon Energy chief technology officer Duncan Koerbel said: “This is the third consecutive blade program where the certified performance has exceeded our design goals.”
