Trina Solar has started shipping to Toyo Engineering Corp 57.1MW of solar modules for use in the Furukawa Mega solar project in Osaki City in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
The delivery should be completed before the end of the third quarter of 2016.
The Project, developed by Pacifico Energy Furukawa, is being constructed on an abandoned golf course in Osaki and is expected to be completed and commissioned in the fourth quarter of this year.
The electricity generated will be purchased by Tohoku Electric Power Company.
Trina Solar Japan president Ye Chen said: “We are delighted to be selected as an exclusive supplier to Toyo Engineering and Pacifico Energy again for their large-scale solar project.”
