Wind consultant company K2 Management is opening a new office in Ireland and shifting its UK presence to Scotland.
The company relocated its head office to Glasgow because the country has “the best combination in the UK in terms of a talent base for recruitment, industry location and wind power research,” explained K2 managing director Simon Luby.
“From Glasgow we will be supporting our UK clients local and global needs and our growing international audience. There is a strong need in the market for independent, experienced and straight forward advice,” he added.
The Glasgow office is located in the Inovo building, a part of Innovation Zone, the partnership between Scottish Enterprise and Strathclyde University.
The Ireland office is in Dublin and will be led by consultant and engineer Enda O’Doherty who has been with K2 since 2013.
“I am looking forward to supporting the development of wind energy in Ireland, and K2’s expanding global footprint uniquely positions the Company to service Irish developers and investors who want to invest abroad,” said O’Doherty.
The consultancy experienced a 30% increase in revenue last year, which was supported by a 40% increase in staff numbers.
