Danish authorities are to re-open an investigation into a diver’s death while working on an offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The Liverpool Echo reports that after lobbying by the diver’s local MP the State Attorney in Denmark has agreed to re-examine the death, which happened in May 2012.
The original investigation had ruled that Stephen O’Malley died from an undiagnosed heart condition.
But a ruling by the Liverpool coroner last September said death was hypoxic cardiac arrest brought on by an over-tight neck ring.
